Cassie gets a home

We don’t get to report so many success cases these days as we used to (Louth SPCA is very busy currently) but here is one we couldn’t let go by without sharing.

Cassie, an 8 year old Bernese Mountain Dog was surrendered to us and was not in a very good way at all. She was in need of a good groom and totally panicked when brought to the kennels.

Louth SPCA Inspector Fiona Squibb put her up a post on her Facebook Page asking if anyone knew of a good rescue or a suitable home as Fiona was worried about Cassie.  The next day she was flooded with calls, and Cassie was picked up that very day and taken to a lady called Alison in Ballymena who rescues any Bernese Mountain Dogs found or surrendered. She immediately groomed Cassie and as you can see from the photo, she is very happy in her new home (that’s her with her new Dad). She’s actually smiling for the photo 🙂

Lucky girl! Thank you to everyone who helped us to help Cassie.
