The Louth Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Louth SPCA) is a non-profit animal rescue and welfare organisation. The Louth SPCA is situated at Walterstown (on the L1182), Dromiskin, Co. Louth Eircode A91 CP82
Our aim is to improve the welfare of all animals – both domestic and wild – through a range of activities, including inspection of reported cases of cruelty, organising the fostering and rehoming of animals, and provision of education on animal welfare. Folks, sometimes in life tough decisions have to be made. The same rules apply in animal welfare.. And so the heartbreaking decision to rehome Kristin & Karl separately was taken. This decision was not taken lightly.But due to lack of interest in them as a pair, something had to be done to improve their chances of rehoming. We sincerely hope that separately they will get the forever homes they so rightly deserve. We have their best interest at heart & that is why this tough decision was made.

Oh my, this poor guy is a stray, & when found had severe injuries. Thankfully our vets went to work on him & got him back to health. He did have to get his eye removed.But he has adjusted very well to having one eye. He is in foster & he gets along perfectly with the resident cats & the dog as well. That's Teddy, I'm fostering him.He is a pure pet, loves his cuddles, playing and loves my cats and dog. Wormed and had his first vaccine. He's such a dote . Everyone that's met him loves him. Thanks Louth SPCA for saving him.

Could she have travelled in builders van or delivery van?
Good morning folks.. I've a few questions for you.. "A little food for thought" so to speak
How many of you have a pet dog cat or whatever??
How many has more than one pet??
Again, how many of you, have really spoken to a family member, relative or friend & made arrangements to have your pets cared for should you become incapacitated??
Have you put anything in writing to say who will look after your pet in that situation??
Have you put money aside to cover food or vet bills for a while at least during your absence??
Have you made your will & included your pets care should the need arise?
The reason for all the above is these are things i had to put in place, so at least if anything happens to me. My pets are cared for.
Don't just assume family or friends will take them without a proper conversation about it first... Put provisions in place & have a back up plan in case the first person can't do it.. Please do it for your pets, it will give you peace of mind as well..
